Benjamin Law is best known in Australia as the author of the hilarious television series Family Law, which looks at a Chinese-Australian family through the lens of a theatre-struck gay son with a totally inappropriate mum.

He’s also the author of the much-acclaimed book Gaysia – Adventures in Queer Asia, in which he offers insights on LGBTIQ life in various Asian countries.

As Auckland becomes an increasingly Asian city, this astute and witty commentator talks about change, difference, acceptance and storytelling.
