FAFSWAG Arts Collective and Love Life Fono Trust present an exhibition that speaks to civic identity and what this looks like for indigenous LGBTIQ people of colour – a resilient community vital to the cultural fabric of Aotearoa’s civic landscapes.

Pacific artists have been commissioned to develop new site-specific digital works curated for public screening over four evenings in the final week of Auckland Pride.  Selected parts of Auckland’s Central Business District will light up with large scale projection and public activation.

Featuring works by Sione Monu, Akashi Fisiinaua, Pati Solomona Tyrell, Jermain Dean, Moe Laga, Jaycee Tanuvasa and more, the project seeks to raise awareness of indigenous LGBTIQ communities through digital story-telling.  All communities are welcome to this free programme of public art events.

Please join us in celebrating the unique voices of these exciting new artists, exploring the things that make this city truly diverse, at a time where visibility is our Pride.

Proudly supported by Auckland Council, Phantom Billstickers, New Zealand AIDS Foundation, Artspace NZ, ST PAUL St Gallery, Silo 6, Basement Theatre and Auckland Pride.
